Albert Sorrentino
Coach Sorrentino has been coaching at Central High School for 15 years and Athletic Director for 14 years. Previous to that he was a coach and teacher at River Ridge High School in Pasco County for 16 years. Prior to beginning his high school teaching and coaching career, Coach Sorrentino was an assistant baseball coach at his alma mater, St. Leo University. Coach Sorrentino has a master's degree in Adaptive Physical Education (USF) and recently earned his Certified Athletic Administrator's certification from the NIAAA.
As Central's head varsity baseball coach, Coach Sorrentino has won 150+ games and 2 district championships.
Coach Sorrentino's greatest highlight as Head Baseball Coach at Central High School was in 2019 when he guided the team to a district championship and a first-round playoff victory in the FHSAA State Series despite only winning 3 games in the regular season.
